Police in Changamwe, Mombasa County is locking up a man apprehended for allegedly defiling five minors all under eight years of age at Ganahola area in Jomvu.
Jomvu police boss James Mutua said the suspect was nabbed on Sunday morning at his home after a doctor’s report revealed that the five children had been defiled.
Rape and Sodomy cases rose in Mombasa this year. It is reported that every month 4-10 children are defiled in the county. The report adds reported and unreported cases.
The man reportedly lured the children by giving them twenty shillings and sweets before proceeding to take advantage of them at his home in Ganahola and thereafter warning them not to speak to anybody.
