- Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives based at Kilimani has today arrested Hon Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino, Member of Parliament for Embakasi East following a shooting incident at B Club located along Galana Road within Kilimani.
- The MP is in lawful custody as further investigations continue.
Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino was on Friday morning arrested over allegations he shot and injured a man, believed to be a Disc Jockey at the popular B Club in Kilimani, Nairobi.
Mr. Owino, real name, Paul Ongiri, is said to have drawn his gun and allegedly shot the man who was unarmed on Thursday night.
No details on what led to the shooting as questions about why the MP was allowed into the club with a firearm abound.
He was arrested by the police as he rushed the victim to the hospital. He is currently booked at Kilimani Police Station.
