Those who break curfew rules, mimi nimesema hakuna haja ya kuwapeleka kwa polisi -Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta maintains that people caught breaking curfew rules to be taken to quarantine facilities for 11 days. He says the Police has a lot of work to do than to handle those break curfew rules.

According to the Head of State, those found punishable will be quarantined for 11 days and if they continue to disregard the stringent measures, will have their duration extended by another 11 days.


“Ukishikwa, ukivunja hizo regulations, mimi nimesema hakuna haja ya kuwapeleka kwa polisi. Polisi wako na kazi nyingi ya kutulinda sisi…wakiwashika hawa waende waweke hawa kwenye quarantine wakae huko siku kumi na moja…wakivunja sheria tena waongezewe siku zingine kumi na moja,” he said on Wednesday morning.


The head of state was speaking from State House, Nairobi during a live address on national Swahili radio stations: Radio Citizen, Radio Jambo, Radio Maisha, Milele FM and KBC’s Radio Taifa.
