Police shot a dog three times in Nakuru when they were forcing their way to a suspect house who was spotted in public without a face-mask in Nakuru.
The Police trailed the man to a nearby estate where they met dogs. Police were forced to open fire to the dogs before arresting the man who did not wear a facemask.
One dog has been left fighting for its life after police officers shot it for preventing them from breaking into owners house.
The man is detained and waiting for his charges. However, residents say the Police are using unnecessary force to detain suspects for not wearing a facemask.
They urged the Police to use the same force in fighting against Al-Shabaab, drugs barons and cattle rustlers in West Pokot, Baringo and Samburu.
