52 students from Kolanya Boys High School in Teso North Sub-County in Busia County have tested positive for COVID-19, area Governor Sospeter Ojaamong announced.
Others who tested positive at the school environment includes six teachers and two members of the junior staff.
From 100 samples collected last week, 60 people tested positive and are in different hospitals as hundreds are in isolation.
The patients have been placed under mandatory quarantine at the school, with health officers from the Busia County Hospital deployed to attend to them.
