Kamirithu Villagers in Limuru, Kiambu County were shocked on Tuesday Morning after waking up seeing a grave of late Ian Kamau Wanjiku,15, who was buried last Thursday, had been exhumed.
Ian Kamau Wanjiku was buried at the Kamirithu public cemetery after purportedly succumbing to COVID-19.
Strange people on Monday night excavated the grave but did not steal Ian’s coffin, nor make away with his remains.
The deceased’s aunt, Hannah Wambui, the incident left the family in a shock given they do not know who invaded the grave or the motive of their action.
Police officers from Togoni who were alerted arrived at the scene and determined that the deceased body had not been removed.
The cops, thereafter, refilled the grave, promising to investigate the matter and bring perpetrators to book.
