The Message costs Ksh. 27 whether the information will be displayed or not. The cost is considered per transaction that is per successful or unsuccessful Message.
The candidates who did KCPE in 2018 were 1,052,364. That means the KNEC systems were to handle One Million plus messages. That means by the end of the exercise, KNEC collects Ksh. 27Million from poor Kenyans who will need burseries to take their children to school.
